Psychotherapist & Eating Disorder Specialist
Therapy that makes sense of what is keeping you stuck.
You may know exactly what you are struggling with, or simply know that something has become difficult to manage alone.
I offer online psychological therapy for adults experiencing eating disorders, anxiety, OCD, stress and burnout, with an approach that is collaborative, evidence-based and shaped around the person rather than the diagnosis.

About Lauren
Hi, I’m Lauren.
I’m a psychotherapist and eating disorder specialist, working with adults experiencing eating disorders, anxiety and OCD.
People rarely arrive in therapy fitting neatly into one box. Anxiety, perfectionism, control and rigid patterns can overlap in different ways, and sometimes the strategies that once helped you cope gradually become part of what is keeping you stuck.
My role is to understand how these pieces fit together for you. I work collaboratively, with warmth, curiosity and evidence-based psychological therapy.
How I can help
Explore the conditions I work with
- 01
Eating disorders
Specialist focusAn eating disorder is a mental illness, not a diet that went too far. Treatment works with both what is happening around food and what is keeping it going.

Anxiety
Anxiety is not a flaw in the system; it is the system doing its job too often and too well. Understanding those patterns gives us something we can work with.

Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD)
Treatment works on the response, not on the thought. Most of it is invisible from the outside.

Stress and burnout
Recovery often means looking beyond the tiredness at the pressures, expectations and patterns that keep bringing you back to the same place.

For loved ones
For families, partners and friends
Supporting someone you love can leave you carrying an enormous amount too. You may be unsure what to say, frightened of making things worse, or simply trying to understand what is happening. I offer support for families, partners and carers, whether or not the person you are worried about is working with me.

Understanding the person, not only the diagnosis.
Eating disorders, anxiety and OCD rarely exist neatly in isolation. They can become intertwined with emotion, relationships, perfectionism, control and the ways you have learned to cope.
My role is to understand how these pieces fit together for you, and to help you make sense of the patterns that may be keeping you stuck.
Therapy is about more than reducing symptoms. It is about creating enough change that fear, anxiety, food or rigid rules no longer get to take up so much of your life.
Collaborative
Therapy works best as a partnership. You’ll always know what we’re working on and why.
Evidence-based
Grounded in CBT, CBT-E, DBT and trauma-informed approaches, tailored to you.
Compassionate & honest
A space that feels safe and non-judgemental — recovery can include lightness too.
What working with me looks like
Therapy with me is active and collaborative. We will spend time understanding what is happening and what may be keeping it going, but we will also work towards change. This might involve testing things out, practising different responses and noticing what happens between sessions. You should have a clear sense of what we are working on and why.
Tailored to you
Therapy starts with understanding how things work for you, rather than assuming the same approach fits everyone.
Grounded in evidence-based therapy
Drawing on CBT, CBT-E and DBT-informed approaches according to what you need.
Online and flexible
Allowing us to work together consistently across South Africa, the UK and internationally, where appropriate.
